Our Teachers
Meet Martha
Martha began studying yoga in her college dorm room after purchasing a book on yoga for runners. It was not only fascinating, but a great way to counter balance the intense training required to compete in collegiate level cross-country and track.
Martha holds a BS in Social Studies education with minors in health education and coaching. She is passionate about wellness. and is also certified by the Yoga Center of Minneapolis and is a trained life coach.
Martha teaches ‘Body Repair’ classes that target a specific area of the body through strength work, flexibility, and therapeutics, and ‘Core Strength Vinyasa’ which is a core centered full body yoga practice, along with various types of meditation.
We all experience times of darkness and difficulty, whether through disease, loss, or injury. Martha is especially interested in how yoga can help us transform those rough patches into opportunities to wake up to our true selves and tap into our potential. She wants to apply yoga to healing the whole person, on and off the mat. She is focused on progress and longevity in an individual’s practice by teaching safe alignment and proper technique.
Martha’s other areas of interest include using yoga and meditation to help people connect to their innate spirituality, prevent injury and improve performance in sports, live agelessly, and get people in touch with their purpose or calling so they can live their best possible lives.
