Classes at Mudita are rooted in yoga tradition. Here you will find more than physical exercise.
You will soothe and strengthen your body, mind and spirit through breath work, meditation and physical movement.
The Mudita Style of yoga is primarily Gentle Yoga that incorporates meditation and restorative practices based on the Hatha Yoga tradition.
What does that mean?
Practice will include a set of physical postures (asana) and breathing techniques (pranayama) practiced more slowly and with more static holds than a typical flow class (vinyasa). It will also promote deep relaxation and build strength through the use of props like blocks, blankets, bolsters and straps.
Gentle Yoga includes a variety of styles that offer something for all ages and abilities. Movements are slow and mindful, allowing time to move safely in and out of each pose and make adjustments as needed. Props are often used to help with alignment and offer support. Classes typically include both seated and standing poses, along with some flow.
