Yoga & Books is a six-week series that combines yoga and meditation with books that help us live our yoga every day.

WHAT TO EXPECT

… Suggested reading will be made each week

… Each session will begin with a short meditation and some gentle movement

… Discussion will be guided while we enjoy tea together

… Practice will end with another short meditation

Join us for an exploration of why happiness seems elusive – sometimes unattainable or even out of reach – and why it seems like it is often fleeting.

Together we will explore each Klesha, how the mind works, ways to liberate us from our misperceptions and what waits for us on the other side.

Guided Chakra Balancing Meditation & Yin Yoga
April 28 @ 4:30pm

In this 75-minute workshop participants will melt into Yin Yoga postures with the support of props while being guided through a Chakra balancing Meditation. 

This experience is designed for all levels of practitioners to bring more harmony, ease, and flow to mind and body.

Meditation In Motion – An Intro to Tai-Chi & Qigong

Learn about an ancient movement system designed for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. 

A low impact exercise suited for all ages and fitness levels, Tai Chi is noted by The Harvard Medical School Guide to Tai Chi as a practice that creates “a healthy body, strong heart and sharp mind.”

In this workshop, you will learn about Tai-Chi form as well as many Qigong postures that you can practice at home or integrate into your other wellness practices.

You will also receive resources for further learning to give you the opportunity to make this a new lifelong practice.

Led by Daniel Dicken, 2nd degree black sash in Yang style Tai-Chi and owner of Stillwater Biofield Tuning.

Restorative Yoga. Sound. Reiki Touch.

This deeply relaxing experience interweaves 3 healing modalities to bring restoration and balance to mind and body.

During this workshop you will:

  • Experience a deep release of tension and stress through a series of supported postures.
  • Discover the healing sounds of crystal sound bowls, an ocean drum, and binaural beats.
  • Receive gentle, non-intrusive Reiki touch that involves the laying on of hands to channel life force energy.

Ayurvedic Remedies for the Summer Months

The summer time in Ayurveda is associated with the pitta dosha. 
 
In this 90-minute interactive workshop you will learn how to balance the fire of the pitta energy. Discover what cooling foods, yoga, pranayama, and herbal remedies are best for the warm summer months. Leave with a realistic self-care plan for the busy summer months to stay balanced all season long. 
 
Led by Andrea Claassen, Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor and 500-hour yoga teacher.
