Classes
Classes at Mudita are rooted in yoga tradition. Here you will find more than physical exercise.
You will soothe and strengthen your body, mind, and spirit through breath work, meditation, and physical movement.
Mudita Style
The Mudita Style of yoga is primarily Gentle Yoga that incorporates meditation and restorative practices based on the Hatha Yoga tradition.
What does that mean?
Practices include physical postures (asana) and breathing techniques (pranayama) practiced more slowly and with more static holds than a typical flow class (vinyasa). Classes also promote deep relaxation and build strength through the use of props like blocks, blankets, bolsters and straps.
Weekly Class Descriptions
Gentle Yoga Mixed Level
Gentle Yoga includes a variety of styles that offer something for all ages and abilities. Movements are slow and mindful, allowing time to move safely in and out of each pose and make adjustments as needed. Props are often used to help with alignment and offer support. Classes typically include both seated and standing poses, along with some flow. Offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 9:00am, and Thursday at 5:00pm.
Root to Rise Chair Yoga
Root to Rise Chair Yoga invites you to settle into gentle stretches and mindful movement with ease and support. Using the chair as a trusted prop, we’ll deepen our range of motion, awaken circulation, and restore a sense of calm connection between body and breath. This class mimics slow, small soma yoga practices versus fast, repetitive motion. This soothing class is perfect for anyone seeking a kind and accessible practice to increase mobility, improve balance, and release tension. Come as you are — no experience needed, just an open heart and willingness to move with grace and care. Offered Thursdays at 9:00am.
Happy Hour Yoga
Happy Hour Yoga invites practices to help you shake off your week and glow into Friday. Expect to move, breathe, and be. Offered Thursdays at 5:00pm.
